Pick-up at Alderlea Farm Distribution Shed and Cafe

Shareholders will pick their vegetables up at Alderlea Farm, 3390 Glenora Road.  The Distribution Barn at Alderlea is  conveniently located just minutes out of Duncan and off the Trans- Canada Highway.  The new driveway and parking lot makes pick-up and parking easy.

The new Distribution Barn offers many benefits for shareholders 

1.  The vegetables will be held for pick-up in a cool building where the   quality of the vegetables will be maintained. Vegetables can be picked up either Tuesday, Friday or Saturday.  

 2.  Shareholders will be given a variety of vegetable choice each week.

 3.  Other local farmers will sell their product at the distribution shed, so more quality food products will be offered to the shareholders.

 4.  The feedback from shareholders who picked up at the distribution shed last year expressed how it heightened their connection to the food and the farm.

5.  The new café will offer a meeting place for shareholders where they can relax and take in the beauty of the farm and enjoy food prepared from biodynamic seasonal veggies. 

6.  A petting zoo will be enjoyed by the children. 

7.  We will offer workshops on food preparation.  

 8.  For shareholders who would prefer not to pick-up at the farm each week, we will help develop  schedules for groups of eight families to take turns picking up.  This means each family can pick up once every two months and bring the bags to a central pick-up location

 7.   We really value your support of the CSA .  Your support has made it possible to  increase the production of biodynamic agriculture in the Cowichan Valley.  We are increasing our land use to another fifteen plus acres.  This will require our apprentices to focus on the farming of the vegetables.
